Bloodborne Pathogens


Bloodborne Pathogens in the Workplace is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge necessary to help reduce or eliminate the occupational risk of bloodborne pathogens. The training program teaches the information every employee who has occupational exposure needs to know to avoid accidental exposure to potentially infectious materials and manage an accidental exposure if one occurs.


The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1920.1030).



Intended Audience: Individuals with a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties.




Course Completion Time: 2 Hours

Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives and skills demonstration rather than a prescribed instruction time. Actual times may vary.


Certification Period: 1 Year
