Thank you for your interest in American Heart Association Heartsaver Instructor Training. Oahu CPR Training is an Authorized American Heart Association Training Site aligned with Always CPR Training headquartered in Melissa Texas.

Dr. Anderson is the Regional Training Center Faculty for Hawaii and performs all of our American Heart Association Instructor courses throughout the State of Hawaii. How to Prepare for the AHA BLS Instructor Course

  1. BulletPractice your skills! The BLS Instructor Manual contains a skill check off sheet that you will use to evaluate your own students. Skills are explained step by step. Study the skills check list, practice the skills yourself, you can even practice watching a friend performing the skill and check off the steps they have performed correctly as they do the skill. An additional way to practice is by watching the AHA BLS and Heartsaver videos. You can also audit a BLS or Heartsaver course by contacting Oahu CPR Training.

Post Instructor Training Requirements & AHA Training Center Alignment

Instructor candidates must be evaluated teaching two Basic Life Support courses within 6 months of their instructor training in order to complete the instructor certification process.

Instructors must align with an American Heart Association Training Center before being eligible to teach. Oahu CPR Training is an American Heart Association Training Site aligned with the Always CPR Training Center. Oahu CPR Training offers this service through Always CPR Training to instructors who agree to follow AHA guidelines.

Instructors are required to join the AHA Instructor Network.
